Camera Shy

I have been so bad with taking my pictures! I feel terrible, but I have still been wearing only my 30 for 30 outfits! I've also been writing down what I'm wearing so that when I get a chance I can take all the pictures. Hopefully this will be tonight.

This is what I've worn so far, but not photographed:

Day 4: Dark dress pants with polka dot tube top and black striped cardigan and black wedges
Day 5: Dark skinnies with white tee and grey striped cardican and black heels
Day 6: Dark skinnies with floral tank and black shrug and black wedges
Day 7: Striped dress (as a top) with green pencil skirt and black heels
Day 8: Leopard skirt with white tee and black heels

Day Three- Stripes and Lace

Two for two! I've never worn this outfit before either, and I'm loving it! It has a casual feel from the tee, but still professional for work from the skirt and heels.

Check out my earrings! I adore those little owls! Another shoe store purchase :) I also can't get enough of this necklace, it just brightens up an outfit so much!

Day Two- Black Roses

I have to be honest, when I went to get ready this morning I was a little overwhelmed. I wanted to create an outfit I have't worn before (my personnel goal for this challenge)and nothing was coming to me. I put on a few different things, and nothing seemed to "work". In the end I did come up with something I haven't worn before, but I plan to do better.

I spent some time today putting together what my 30 outfits would/could be. I definitely didn't think I would do this, but after this morning I think it's almost necessary! I'm pretty happy with what I came up with, and it just made me more excited for this challenge!

Anyways, this is what I wore today!

These shoes are one of the items I put in this challenge to see if I actually like them. I am quite pleased to say I love them! They are really comfy, and when I was putting together my outfits they just seemed to work with so much! I am really excited to wear them more.

I love love this necklace. I bought it on a whim at a shoe store to use up what I had left on a gift card, and I'm so happy I did! It's really versatile, and works with so many pieces.

My 30 for 30!

Well here it is... day one! I'm excited to start this project, and to be honest I'm not really that nervous or anything. It's the first time I've done it, so I'm just going in with an open mind. I don't know how long it will take me to get to 30 outfits, but hopefully it's within 6 weeks.

Here is what I am including in my 30 for 30!

10 tops

4 pants; 2 jeans and 2 dress pants

3 cardigans, and 1 blazer

1 pair of shorts, and 3 skirts

3 dresses

5 pairs of shoes

I have tried to incorporate a few things I never really wear. This way I can get them involved in what I'm wearing, and if I don't like it still at the end of this challenge I'll get rid of them.

No no, not like that it's just that I didn't really wear this today. I wore it late last week, and just didn't get a chance to post it! I plan to go home tonight and take photos of everything in my 30 for 30, plus post my outfit for today!

These shoes are my favorite. I would literally wear them everyday. What makes me love them even more? They were regularily priced at $150, and I bought them for $35!! Gotta love half off lowest price sales!

Stripes and Sparkles

I love love this top. For one, it is so soft and comfy. Plus it has stripes (always a bonus), and the gems on the sleeves! So relaxed, and completley casual with still a bit of interest to it.

I've had thse flats for a long time, but I've never really worn them. I'm going to try to wear them more because I really do like them!

Statement Necklace

Finally! I had a chance to take photos of an actual outfit! I wore this to work today, and I'm over-all really happy with it. It was a bit rainy and dark today, so the knit top works.

Can I mention how much I LOVE this necklace? I saw it at H&M awhile ago but was hesitant on it because of the gold. Then I saw numerous bloggers wearing it and saw how versatile it was! Luckily I went back on Friday and there was just one left!

Shoes, shoes, shoes!

I have a lot of shoes. I love them all. Unfortunately, I have to pick only some of them to join in my 30 for 30 escapade.

I also love this display I have for them. I purchased it not too long ago, and I absolutely adore having them all out in the open to see!

So far I think I'll be including one pair of pumps, one pair of flats, one pair of boots (with a heel), my neutral wedges and those lovely leopard print booties.

30 for 30

So I suppose I should clarify what the "30 for 30" is.

I came across an amazing blog last week called Kendi Everday. I soon disovered what she has slated as the "30 for 30" challenge. The basics (just basics, no rules here!) are this: take 30 articles of clothing, including outwear, shoes, tops, cardigans, everything but accessories, and make 30 outfits from them. On top of this there is the challenge, if you want, to not shop for 30 days. What this project is meant to do is let you re-discover your wardrobe, and appreciate what you already have. And the next one (her 5th I believe) starts on June 13th.

This is going to be hard for me! So I've decided a few "rules" of my own. These 30 outfits do not have to happen in 30 days, likely they will only come from me M-F as I work an office job, and need to look decent most of the time. I'll probably throw in a few on the weekends, when I can. Also, as for the no shopping.... this will the hardest part for me. I love shopping, and I work downtown in a big city so there are amazing stores around every corner. I plan to limit myself to only shopping at thrift stores for 30 days. Now, I never really do this so that will be a challenge in itself.

Well, I think that about covers it. I have already started deciding which clothes will take part in this lovely project and I plan to photograph each of them so we can see what I'm working with.
